Last week I got the chance to do an interview on OPB's State on Wonder about Wonder Woman. We talked about the promotional efforts behind the film and about the WIF-PDX effort that I spearheaded to get people out to see the movie on opening weekend. 2017 Portland Indie Film Awards
The Portland Indie Film Awards were earlier this month. My film, From Salem to the Salon, was nominated for Best Short Film. It didn't end up winning the big award, but it did make an appearance in the ceremony's opening montage. It's great to see the recognition this film has received!
11/52 - Winter's Bone | Dir. by Debra Granik

10/52 - Deidra & Laney Rob a Train | Dir. by Sydney Freeland
I'm taking the Women in Film pledge to watch 52 Films By Women this year. I loved Deidra & Laney Rob a Train! Written (Shelby Farrell) and directed by women, the young leads are women of color, it was funny and quirky and filled with fun editing choices (for example: the opening credits), I want to see more movies like this.
