2/100 - In awe of San Fransokyo

I finally got around to watching Big Hero 6. One of the coolest things about it (besides Baymax... "balalala") is the fictional city of San Fransokyo. I didn't know the backstory of the city's creation going into the movie, but afterwards I did a bit of research.

Its a combination of San Francisco city data, Disney's new program Hyperion and I'm guessing A LOT of long hours... but the result is pretty stunning.

“The filmmakers’ idea — never stated in the film — is that in a parallel universe after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the city split off and an influx of Japanese immigrants helped rebuild it.”
