Film Festival Selection (POW FEST!)

GREAT NEWS!

My documentary 'From Salem to the Salon' has been selected for the Portland Oregon Women's Film Festival (POW Fest)! 

'From Salem to the Salon' is the story of how a Portland-based salon owner changed Oregon state law. What starts as a desire to donate her hair-braiding skills to foster care children, quickly becomes a fight in Salem to fix a flawed system. Amber Starks fought the law and won.

The film will screen alongside other wonderful film made by women filmmakers from all over the world on Saturday March 5th at the Hollywood Theatre in NE Portland. Hope to see you there!!
